The Laura Lee End of Summer Mixtape

End of SummerPicture by our very own Sharlene

Good old British summer is coming to an end and we will miss it - despite all its rainy, grey and temperamental days. Farewell to lovely long days and Pimms ;-) in the park!

Even though our team is divided into summer lovers and summer loathers, we all agreed on an end of summer mixtape to say bye to this season. We've had fun - ate lots of ice cream, met for after work drinks, endured the horrible heatwave with feeble English fans and we have done it all with our favourite summery tunes in the background.

So without further ado - here are our choices and our weekend plans (just in case you are wondering). You can find the mixtape on Spotify and at the bottom of this page.

'Harvest Moon' by Neil Young - chosen by Laura (who will be enjoying fish & chips with her cousins in Hove)

'Non È Niente' by Catherine Spaak - chosen by Aimée (going to a wedding in Crete)

'The Lazy Song' by Bruno Mars - chosen by Elisa (whose main plan is stearing clear of the crowds at Carnival)

'Have a Nice Day' by Stereophonics - chosen by Darja (who will be having a break in Wales)

'Budapest' by George Ezra - chosen by Rea (off to Harrogate to see her BF)

'California' by Joni Mitchell - chosen by Agostina (who will be visiting Stockholm for the first time)

'Me, Myself and I' by De La Soul - chosen by Clara (she will be immersing herself in a festival in Lincolnshire)

'Sunny Afternoon' by The Kinks - chosen by Nicky (who will be busy eating and drinking her favourite things and dancing)

'One More Time, Please' by Jay Som - chosen by Charlie (going towards the sea)

'Maggie May' by Rod Stewart - chosen by Johnny (who will be on a beach in Greece playing with his dog - he doesn't have a dog)

'Seabird' by Alessi Brothers - chosen by Zelda (having some fine eats at a BBQ)

'Holiday' by Madonna - chosen by Rachel (going to the Vauxhall petting zoo to introduce her baby girl to baby animals)

'Self Control' by Frank Ocean - chosen by Sharlene (celebrating 12 years of marriage in Brighton)

'Escape (The Piña Colada Song)' by Rupert Holmes - chosen by everyone in the team as our main summer song :)

That is it! That was summer for us. We hope yours was as fantastic as ours. Let us know what your summer song was.

Cheers to what's yet to come!
