Launching in time for party season, Nocturne was made to glimmer by flickering candlelight. The collection features a select range of jewels and metals that exude a low-key baroque mood with a gothic edge. You’ll find shimmering abalone shell, peacock pearls, gold, and diamonds with moody blackened metals for a highly distilled palette. Subtle dusky colour weaves throughout the designs in the form of dirty emeralds, opals, tourmaline and milky agate.
A few designs are available in both light and dark colourways, depending on your personal style and preferences. True to their namesake time of day, the Twilight Totem Drop Earrings balance light and dark in two variations, layering creamy pearls with white opal and yellow gold in one design, and peacock pearls with grey opal and white gold in the other.
Several pieces feature picture agate stones in pendants and a statement ring. These eye-catching stones are one-of-a-kind and are available in the cool tones of a misty night, like the Milky Nocturne Necklace, or the warm tones of an old photograph, like the Sepia Nocturne Necklace.
You’ll also find simpler, classic embellishments nestled amid the high, dark glamour. Our hand-etched Loved Ring Band is perfect for everyday – and every night – wear, as is the Woman in Gold Eye of Horus necklace, a take on the classic Ancient Egyptian symbol in smooth gold and bright diamond.
The Nocturne collection combines a wide range of inspirations, from Egyptian hieroglyphics to the mid-war Viennese cabaret scene to Vortex Spinners. From the art world, Laura drew from Gustav Klimt’s gold period, Alexander Calder’s spirals, the paintings of Otto Dix and Max Beckmann, and the Red-tail Black Cockatoos photographed by Leila Jeffreys.
Laura was also inspired by charismatic icons such as Liza Minelli in Cabaret, Siouxsie Sioux and Morticia Addams, all women who channel bewitching high glamour with an edgy twist.
Ready to embrace the dark side? This cohesive collection can easily be mixed and matched or choose your favourite piece to vamp up your jewellery box for the season ahead.
]]>When designing the new collection, Laura drew inspiration from the dreamy English garden created by Vita Sackville-West and her husband at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent. The garden is planted in a series of “rooms”, and our collection draws inspiration from The White Garden in particular: an area bursting with white and green with subtle pink toned blooms.
Each flower in the Sissinghurst Garden was carefully chosen for its form, colour, and scale, and the same is true for each element of our new collection. You’ll find a thoughtful symphony of the finest freshwater pearls, delicate mother of pearl, and lush green tourmalines and emeralds – as well as a smattering of pink and peachy sapphires for a petal-soft touch of colour.
You’ll also find pieces inspired by a range of white blooms, including our Gardenia choker, Magnolia Charms, Anemone Pendants, and jasmine-inspired necklaces and bracelets.
In addition to inspiring the collection’s core colour palette, flowers are woven throughout the designs as well. Our Wildflower Studs and Marguerite Spinner Necklace include dainty golden floral motifs, while the tiny Seedling Studs resemble miniature daisies. Other flower-inspired pendants include our striking Anemone designs made from hand-cut and engraved mother of pearl.
The entire collection combines the natural beauty of a flourishing summer garden with considered, elegant design. Each piece can stand alone, or – just like picking your favourite blooms for a bouquet – you can mix and match pieces to create the perfect ensemble for your next summer event.
]]>We'd love to introduce you to our newest addition to the personalised collection: The block letter initial coins and The Cut Out Alphabet Necklaces.

]]>Arriving just in time to usher in the party season, our new Christmas collection includes twenty striking designs packed with shimmer and sparkle, and featuring a range of colourways to suit the colder months.
Drawing on the tones in nature at this time of year, Laura was inspired by the pinky-reds of an autumnal Virginia creeper and the soft shades of frost-chapped foliage. Throughout the collection you’ll find these colours captured in spinels, emeralds, opals, and coloured diamonds, each faceted to catch the light.
Laura was also inspired by the harmonious colour palettes of Cezanne and the restraint of Scandi interior design, a combination that has resulted in a delicate and refined collection.
In pieces like the Berry Red Threaded Bracelet and Berry Red Dotted Chain with Golden Globe Drop, you’ll find rich red spinels that look like wintry berries, paired with buttery gold details.
Muted wintery greens also feature heavily in the collection. These pieces layer teal-coloured diamonds, taupe and French grey spinels, dirty moss green emeralds, and milky grey opals that conjure images of wintry spruces. The Forest Green Threaded Bracelet is a vision in green, while the Forest Green Smile Necklace includes a sparkling touch of green against gold.
As well as colour, the new collection makes use of mixed metal tones, too. Nothing says elegant evening wear quite like flashes of gold and silver. And with the Ice and Fire range in half yellow and half white gold, you won’t even have to choose between the two.
You’ll also find twists on classic pieces such as our textured Bobbin Hoops, that would make the perfect gift (or the perfect treat for yourself, too!). In fact, many pieces are so versatile, they can be gifted, worn solo, or introduced to your existing heirloom jewels to add a little lift and touch of modernity.
Lastly, many of the pieces in this collection can be worn together as a set for a refined and co-ordinated party look.

Our new Colourwheel collection is the perfect way to inject a burst of happiness into your jewellery stash. Set into high carat gold, the hues of the collection are bright without being overpowering. Our Gemstone Thread Through Earrings are the perfect way to add a flash of colour to your ears, while our Sleeper Necklace and matching Sleeper Bracelet showcase a delicate smattering of colored jewels. For something bolder, try our Eternity Bracelet or mix and match different pieces from across the whole collection to create your own personal kaleidoscope of colour. While the new Seven Stone Stacker - brings luck and good fortune with its 7 gemstones it makes for a lush alternative wedding ring for the more adventurous bride.
]]>The collection includes light-catching earrings (both studs and drop styles), barely-there bracelets and a range of shimmering pendants that look exquisite worn alone or layered with other gold necklaces.
The dots play out across the collection in different ways, from tiny scattered sequins to petite pendants. And because all that glitters isn’t only gold… the pendants are flecked with tiny star-set diamonds to further catch the light.
Laura had several sources of inspiration for the creation of this mini-story. The enduring allure of bohemian style was one of them. Both the earthiness of 60s fashion and the decade’s iconic flower-power activism are just as relevant today as they were all those years ago.
In addition to the hippy-era’s “cool girl” style, other inspirations for the collection came from the art world. These included the gilded baroque swirls of Gustav Klimt’s paintings – which inspired the colour, shape and texture of the collection – as well as Yayoi Kusama’s dot paintings, where tiny, thoughtfully-placed spots create larger, striking images.
Similarly, the Dots of Gold collection makes it easy to build a cohesive look. Every piece can be mixed, matched and layered, making this harmonious collection effortless to wear and style.
The real beauty of the Dots of Gold collection is that the delicate circles are universally flattering and the textured gold suits every skin tone. A piece from this collection would make a failsafe gift and a welcome addition to any jewellery collection.

You can book an appointment to discuss any and all bespoke jewellery needs. If you’ve booked an appointment with us previously, you’ll have probably arranged it by email. Now, we’ve made it easier than ever to book a consultation with Laura, with no back and forth.
With our new online booking system, you can choose the most convenient time and date for you, as well as add notes ahead of your Zoom consultation.
A note on our new packaging
In line with our updated look, we also have new packaging in the works. However, we still have a lot of our classic packaging featuring our old logo and colours. As a brand, we’re very conscious of the materials we use and aim to minimise our use of plastic, so the idea of throwing away perfectly good packaging was a huge no-no!
Instead, we’ll be using our classic packaging until it runs out, which we estimate will be May 2022. After that, we’ll start rolling out the new designs.
]]>Featuring shimmering opals and heart-shapes, Laura has channelled a dreamy 70s vibe – including touches of baroque pearls, diamonds and emerald accents – for a sugar-free, retro seaside feel.
]]>White Australian opals feature heavily throughout the collection and these shimmery, luminous gems capture a myriad of colours. Iridescent opals come to life in the summer sun, but they look beautiful year-round. As the birthstone for October, there’s never been a better time to wear or gift opals.
Another motif you’ll see popping up throughout the collection is the classic heart shape. It’s one of our most over-used emojis – and for good reason. Carved from opals in glittering seaside shades, these heart-shaped jewels are a million miles from the saccharine sweet pink and red love hearts you might find elsewhere. Our opal hearts are framed by gold for pieces that embrace romance, but without the schmaltz.
Keep an eye out for our new Loveheart Opal Signet Ring where a lustrous heart-shaped opal elevates this classic style. You’ll also find a variety of pearl and opal charms that pair beautifully with our skinny huggy hoops. As well as hand-crafted hearts, we’ve created a range of other opal styles from sheer beads to marquise cuts to teardrop charms and pendants that shimmer like mermaid tears.
Everything in the collection pairs beautifully for a cohesive story in opal and gold. Or, you can layer these pieces with other gold charms and talismans to add playful, iridescent colour and mysterious magic to your everyday staples.
Last week I handed back the keys to our ancestral home 42 Monmouth Street, the beating heart of Laura Lee Jewellery for over 16 years.
It was emotional!
After being pushed off a cliff by Covid 19 we had to learn how to survive in the online only world and thanks to you - all our fabulous customers and friends we made it!
It was scary but you know how it goes – what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and all that.
I want to thank all of my outstanding staff members who over the years made
42 Monmouth Street so much more than a mere shop…there are many of you out there but I want to make a special mention of the more recent members of staff who made it the safe, welcoming and charming space it became for me and our friends and customers – the gorgeous Donovan Sisters Rachel and Rea, the classy and glamorous Nicky and our Saturday stars Sophie and Lee. And of course, last but most certainly not least, Sharlene aka Dolly who gave great customer service and kept everything trucking along, was always on my side, being the legendary ambassador for us for more than a decade. The Queen of retail and the most stylish person I know - I couldn’t have done it without you.
I have plans up my sleeve for ways to see you in real life (watch this space) while in the meantime I can meet with you in either my London studio or in St Leonards on Sea, where I have a mini Monmouth Street atelier and you can grab some fish n chips on the way home.
Onwards and upwards.
Love
Laura xx

]]>From charms to chains, you’ll find a range of new pieces featuring instantly recognizable icons, like lightning bolts and tiny arrows.
When designing the new collection, Laura channelled a candlelit Georgian party in an art deco bohemian night club – with a punk rock soundtrack. She was inspired by gothic icons like Morticia Adams and rock legends like Alison Mosshart, Primal Scream, and Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
Inspired by both alternative rock and gothic grandeur, these pieces are at once understated and bold. They feature recurring geometric shapes like chevrons, spikes, arrows, and lightning bolts – the latter of which puts us in mind of David Bowie and his genius Ziggy Stardust incarnation.
You’ll find lightning bolts in studs, charms and dangling earrings, set with shimmering diamonds to create flashes of light, while teeny arrows sit pretty in studs and delicate necklaces.
For a vintage vibe, choose one of our onyx cameos featuring a slumbering Man in the Moon motif. Or, for a glittering statement, try the collection’s namesake Paint It Black Chevron necklace – inspired by New York city’s art deco Chrysler building – which layers well with other necklaces, like our textured boyfriend chains.
This bright new collection sits happily alongside previous releases while being the perfect addition as we delve into the dark half of the year. Treat yourself to something new and layer up on sparkle and shimmer for those crisp wintry days and candlelit nights.
]]>Combining crisp watermelon shades of tourmaline with warm 9ct gold accents, our new Roman Holiday collection will put you in mind of 1970s Italian glamour, unique bohemian treasures and balmy golden evenings spent wandering the piazzas of historic Rome.
Two striking aspects of the collection are its use of raw and textured gold (although some pieces are also available in silver) and reclaimed coin pendants. When it comes to gemstones, you’ll find tourmalines in a fresh watermelon palette, from the palest wash of pink flesh to the rich teal-green of the rind.
The new jewellery includes pendants cast from salvaged antique coins, stamped with weathered yet iconic motifs of Roman Centurions and the mythical Romulus and Remus, as well as lions and shipwrecks. Featured in both necklaces and earrings, these repurposed coins will instantly become the focal point of any outfit, as well as a piece to treasure throughout the years.
For those looking for rings, designs range from classic gemstone settings to eye-catching twisted bands. Our new signet rings feature a tiny tourmaline star, which sits beautifully on your pinky finger for those who love a dainty celestial flourish.
The collection also features several earring designs, from neat studs to intricate drops, all peppered with tourmaline stones in mouthwatering hues of pink and green. There’s even a new set of charms for our skinny huggy hoops, so you can easily upgrade and change your everyday style depending on your mood.
With studs, twisted hoops, and elegant dangling styles, you may need to add a piercing or two, because you’ll want to stack them all!
While the new collection has its own unique feel, the pieces work effortlessly with your existing jewellery. You’ll find they also layer perfectly with Laura Lee Jewellery’s other heritage pieces.

We've been keeping this one under wraps for a while now. A few months ago we started working in collaboration with Jessie, the wonderful lady behind SunbeamsJess. We are excited to bring you a sparkly collection.
Read about it in Jessie's words:
"The collection was born out of my love for all things celestial, and for delicate jewellery with a bit of an edge. All the pieces work beautifully layered or on their own, and I wear mine everyday.
Thank you so much for supporting this collaboration, and we hope you love it as much as we do!"

This month, the birthstone in the spotlight is the pearl. This pale and interesting beauty is the only animal-made stone on earth, and has come to be known as a classic for many different occasions. If June is your birth month, then lucky you! But you don’t need an upcoming birthday as an excuse to drape yourself in shimmering pearls. June is also a popular month for weddings, and pearls are the perfect bridal gem. Read on to find out why:
The symbolism of pearls
In ancient Greece, it was thought that pearls were the hardened joyous tears of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, and in many modern-day cultures pearls symbolise purity and innocence, due to their white colouring. They also represent honesty, chastity and humility. The colour white is associated with Christian holy days, and is worn in all sorts of special church services, from baptisms to weddings.
When to wear pearls?
With its neutral shade and subtle shine, a pearl pendant goes with everything, and a string of pearls has long been recognised as a classy choice for jewellery. Pearls are also the perfect choice for occasionwear. Not only does the colour complement a white bridal outfit, but pearls have come to be thought of as a traditional symbol of the lasting love and commitment between two people.
They’re also a lovely gift for bridesmaids or the mother of the bride, as pearls will match most dress colours and will complement the bride’s outfit, too.
The gift of a pearl
A pearl is the perfect gift for a bride-to-be or your partner. And there’s no better time to gift it than right before the wedding! If you’ve already tied the knot, then pearls also make thoughtful anniversary gifts. Their enduring nature will remind you of the commitment you both share. You can’t go wrong gifting jewellery featuring this beautiful, pure stone.
Our pearls
We have a vast range of jewellery featuring high-quality, high-lustre pearls, all described as AAA quality in the gem and pearl industry. At once simple and classic, our lustrous baroque pearls are the perfect gift. Browse our Baroque Pearl Necklace and matching Baroque Pearl Drop Earrings, that both catch the light beautifully.
If you’re lucky enough to have a birthday or wedding coming up this month, it’s time to start dropping a few hints about this special stone to your friends and your significant other...

Laura was also inspired by artist Yayoi Kasama’s Infinity Mirror Room installations and her ‘The Scent of a Flower Garden’, as well as Peter Doig’s painting ‘Milky Way’ – a rendering of inky, star-strewn skies reflected in the water.
These seaside inspirations manifest themselves in the collection through blue-green gems, like half-moons of lapis lazuli, turquoise dots and emerald accents. You’ll also find nods to the sea through a range of marine motifs. Our Mixed Metals feature in a new range of talismanic coins, inscribed with shells and seascapes at midnight.
The collection includes charms to add to our huggy hoops, tiny gemstone studs, half-moon rings and tiny stacking bands that look like little mermaid crowns.

Diamonds are a mineral made of almost pure carbon (that’s the same stuff as coal and soot, if you can believe it). They also hold the title for being the hardest naturally-occurring substance in the world and were formed in the Earth's crust at least 1 Billion years ago.
With the combination of their durability and beauty, diamonds are an obvious choice for romance and proposals, representing the enduring love and commitment of a marriage. An advertising campaign in the 1940s came up with the iconic tagline ‘A Diamond is Forever’ – and they’ve been the most popular choice for engagement rings ever since!
You probably think of diamonds as colourless, but they actually come in all sorts of hues from transparent to black and a rainbow of colours in between. That makes them incredibly versatile as a jewel and means whatever your taste – you’re bound to find a diamond that suits your style. Alongside the classic ice white we love the more unusual stones, such as Salt and Pepper and silvery grey - all the shine and loads more personality.
What really sets diamonds apart is their extraordinary sparkle. This depends on the way they’re cut and polished, and their clarity – they refract the light that enters them and scatter it back out again in all directions. Diamond traders use the terms brilliance, fire and scintillation to describe these qualities and we think that’s pretty spot on! A little bit of Mother Earth's' Magic purely for our pleasure. ✨
If you’re inspired by your newfound diamond knowledge, have a birthday this month or maybe even a proposal on the cards – now’s the perfect time to check out our huge range of diamond jewellery. Or you can just treat yourself if you think you deserve it! ;)

]]>Our new matchstick collection puts a modern twist on your classic set of pearls. Each dainty droplet stone is paired with graphic metal construction for a cool edge. The pared-back yet elegant design is inspired by two of Laura’s favourite artists: Alexander Calder and Joan Miró. They created delicate hanging mobile sculptures, an echo of which you’ll find reflected in the lines and joints of the matchstick collection.
For your lobes, choose from classic teardrop or jointed column earrings with a longer drop. Then, to complete the look, pair with a single or double matchstick pearl necklace that sways gracefully as you move.
The whole collection celebrates the natural luminosity and enduring grace of pearls. Our designs are pared-back enough to be worn everyday, but look equally beautiful for special occasions too. Pearls add luminosity and radiance to every skin tone, which makes them a go-to choice for bridesmaids and their neutral colour means they’re guaranteed to complement any outfit.

]]>The four new black-silver pieces – a cuff, crescent moon necklace and two sets of hoop earrings – are studded with salt-and-pepper diamonds and glisten with dark romance. The collection is sexy and bold, with just the right amount of sparkle so you can create a look that’s luxe without being flash.
The collection is inspired by Laura’s love of antique jewels, vintage diamonds and female rock ‘n’ roll icons like Patti Smith and Alison Mosshart of the Kills. When thinking about creating new pieces, Laura wanted to channel the attitude of these esteemed rock stars and their strong, independent, do-as-I-please spirits.
Perfect for day to evening, these subtle, sparkling pieces really come alive at night. They’re all designed to be worn alone or stacked with more classic jewellery. Don any piece to toughen up a timeless look – our Rustic Diamonds look great paired with understated pearls or layered with gold charms and chains.
Ready to channel your inner rock-chick? Shop the collection here]]>Inspired by passion, nature, winter and the night sky – our ‘Into my Arms’ bridal collection puts a rich and romantic spin on classic bridal jewellery.
]]>The striking collection is the result of many influences, yet still remains traditional. When designing the pieces, Laura was inspired by wintry snowscapes and frozen lakes, detailed portraits of tawny owls by Australian photographer Leila Jeffreys and the passionate relationship portrayed in Jacques Audiard’s 2012 film ‘Rust and Bone’, as well as the haunting lyrics of Nick Caves’ beautiful song that shares its name with this collection. This eclectic range layers an array of ideas, tones and colours, all channelled into a collection made to celebrate every kind of love.
Each piece of jewellery in the collection is named after a celestial body. The star-flecked night sky and the paintings of Peter Doig also inspired the black detailing and darkly romantic designs.
The colour palette deviates from traditional pink and cream notions of romance, instead embracing wilder, wintry shades of silver-grey and minky-champagne diamonds set against raw white, yellow and some touches of rose gold. The elegant style and Georgian settings keep each piece timeless. This is jewellery you will treasure wearing on the big day and every day after.
For brides looking for a subtle hint of colour, the collection includes engagement rings with pastel sapphires – an enduring alternative to more classic styles. If pastels aren’t your thing, perhaps you’ll fall for the mink-brown and jet-black diamonds set in delicate lines of gold. These darker designs have been crafted to accentuate delicate wrists and the long languid lines of a neck.
The range also includes several earring designs in both stud and drop styles. Softly sparkling sapphires or diamonds will add a touch of sparkle to ears and perfectly complement any bridal style.
It’s apt that ‘Into My Arms’ launches this season, as flickering candlelight and wintry romance are the perfect partners to this ethereal bridal collection.

]]>Not wanting to keep him just for ourselves {and we SO could have} we quizzed Charlie on his jewellery inspirations, historic tales of Greek Gods and finding motivation in the face of adversity.
We’ve had the pleasure of your custom for quite a few years now, what first bought you into Laura Lee Jewellery and what made you keep coming back {apart from the excellent service ;)?
My eldest and dearest friend, Keira Knightly, sent me your way in search of gold to adorn my nearest and dearest.
Deciding it was finally time for a piece of jewellery for yourself what was the idea behind your bespoke engraved Dionysus and Lapis Lazuli necklace you designed with Laura?
I was a bit a of naughty so and so at school. I was kicked out of one and laughed my way through several others. It wasn’t until my early 20’s that I discovered passions for things that weren’t evolved from physical exertion. Wine, art, history and stories.
I think I decided to have a pendant made because I’m scared of getting a tattoo. The story of the pendant Laura so excellently made for me was a draw on a few things:
Wine is my ultimate luxury - it’s an art form full of pretentiousness but the fundamentals derive from humans respecting and working with the land to produce something that I can spend hours with. Some people need films and books to escape - I need a glass of fine Burgundy.
Lapis Lazuli is the stone of love. I could stare at Yves Klein's work for days. His blues are made of up of a pigment from darling old Lapis. It’s a stone that is mined in Afghanistan, a country I’ve been lucky enough to visit, and its journey to Venice was via the ancient Silk Road. This created the birth of true Blue - UltraMarine. The Silk Road along with the countries and ethnic groups it moved, moulded and made absolutely fascinates me.
There is a piece of work hanging in the National Portrait Gallery by Titian called Bacchus and Ariadne (I’ve always assumed he named it Bacchus because of the Italian link but the painting is clearly of the Greek counterpart Dionysus).
It’s a picture showing the story of Dionysus saving Ariadne. You’ve got a glorious half naked Dionysus swooping into Naxos, not by budget airline, by bloody gold chariot - pulled by cheetahs! He turns up to set free the gorgeous Ariadne who’s been cast and left on the Island by ex-love rat, Theseus.
Dionysus consummates his love for her by casting a crown into the sky which then forms the star constellation, Corona Borealis. Who does that? Dionysus was the symbol of wine and of good times. Titian was already a successful artist by the time of painting this masterpiece and was thus one of the few who could afford to use such expensive pigment to create never before seen blues. In this case, it’s the sky and Ariadne’s get up.
Maybe in today's world colours are taken for granted but at the time it would have been a marvel to see a blue so deep and so mysterious. Furthermore, it’s fascinating to look, and think, of the incredible journey this colour took to get onto the canvas - there aren’t many things that remain so vibrant 500 years on.
Soooo….my pendant with Dionysus on one side and Corona Borealis on the other, is from a painting that tells a story and a journey that I rather like.
What was your relationship like with jewellery when you were growing up? As in did the men in your family wear signet rings perhaps? Or take pride in choosing their cufflinks?
I grew up with an elder sister and a female best friend (the above) which meant I was the butt of all jokes, a guinea pig and the centre of their dressing up imagination - I’ve been a 1920’s flapper girl, I’ve had every type of nail varnish and eye detail going painted on to me (never been vajazzled mind).
I broke free from such oppressive female rule in my teens but retained an eye for everything jewellery.
Do you have a style icon? Not necessarily someone you’d like to dress like but someone’s style that you admire?
Anyone who stands out from the crowd. The person who looks or dresses differently - that’s cool and completely not me. To quote Sharlene when I turned up one afternoon ‘You look like a Geography teacher’ (Admittedly I have one leg).
We met you when you had two legs and then you elected to have a lower leg amputation after years of problems following a snowboarding accident in your early 20’s. Besides the obvious in what ways has your life changed?
I get loads of sympathy sex and swim in circles. Joke.
Yeah - my life changed a lot after my accident. I went from someone who ran everywhere and who sport was my life to being someone who couldn’t do what came so naturally to me. I couldn’t run and I couldn’t hit the same physical levels I was used to. So life changed for the better after the amputation, which was 10 years after the accident. I chose to amputate because I knew it would give me the opportunity to get back to sport and pushing myself the way that my DNA craves.
Do you think your motivation has changed since you had your amputation and if so in what way?
I’ve always been very motivated so I’m not sure anything has changed in that sense. I guess now I’m sans jambe I represent something and hold a flag for people who have gone through some physical discomfort. It’s motivating to think that the more I push the more the rules change and the understanding of what the body can do are proved.
What have you got in the pipeline for 2018?
Too much. My amputation gave me my leg back and let me run again which was a great sense of freedom. Freedom is to move and do as one wishes - I love to travel and didn’t do enough when I was hobbling about. I love using sport as a medium to explore and learn. I’ve just got back from a marathon in Somalia. I trekked with the Hadza tribe along the Yaeda Valley in Tanzania through April and went cycling in Eritrea in March.
I was swimming the Bosporus in July and then the driving the Silk Road from Pakistan, through China, across the Stans and ending in Venice at the end of the Summer. I’ll be taking part in my second Afghanistan marathon in November and have lots of other fun trips throughout the year. I’m currently on a plane back from Uzbekistan which was magnificent. I’m also growing a tonne (‘literally’) of tomatoes and making honey (not hay) with my girlfriend in Abruzzo, Italy. I believe I may be the world’s first one-legged anaphylactic beekeeper.
Who’s your favourite ~ Sharlene or Rea?
I have ADHD…

]]>And with that in mind, we’re launching a brand new, concise menswear collection for our loyal male customers.
Having always loved a well-dressed and stylish man, Laura had been thinking about creating a range of classic and timeless designs for men for quite a while. And now it’s finally here! We’re testing the waters with an introductory range of cufflinks, signet rings – Laura’s favourite piece of jewellery on a man. And a smattering of pendants and bracelets for the more adventurous.
Our new range of cufflinks include designs set with one-of-a-kind sapphires and pavé set with diamonds. We also have classic horse cameos, as a nod to equestrian styling, as well as hand-engraved sardonyx stones set into a pair of our silver and gold signature signet rings.
We are here to create bespoke signet rings that are especially for you – we love hearing people’s stories when we’re working on these commissions. Whether you incorporate a family crest or a meaningful image, a bespoke engraving is the best way to create something that perfectly reflects your personality, style and story.
To help launch our new menswear jewellery collection, we’ll be sitting down to chat with some of our favourite jewellery-wearing men over the coming months.
Among these is longtime customer and friend of LLJ, Martin Freeman. Tune in to find out what he had to say when he came up to the shop for a chat. He shares his style influences, his love of the cufflink and why he’s never had a piercing.
See you there!

We might be a little biased, but we like to think nothing says ‘I love you’ like jewellery. So this February, swap the traditional hearts and flowers for hearts and lockets. We’re head over heels for our brand-new, heart-shaped necklaces. And the best part is, they’ll last much longer than your average Valentine’s roses.
Our tiny heart pendant hangs from a fine gold chain and it’s the perfect piece to wear or gift this Valentine’s Day. The little locket – available in both 9ct Yellow Gold and Sterling Silver – opens up for you to include a teeny memento. Plus the dainty style means it goes with pretty much everything.
We’ll definitely be adding this delicate locket to our V-day wishlists and dropping hints to our loved one. But let’s be honest, Valentine’s is the perfect excuse for a ‘treat yourself’ moment, too!
So whether you’re spending time with your partner, celebrating ‘Galentine’s’ with your single best friends or having a pampering night in – we hope you have a wonderful, heart-filled Valentine’s Day.
]]>'Little Girl Blue' by Nina Simone & 'Home Alone Theme' by Mount Royal Orchestra - chosen by Clara (she did a great job covering for Aimée)
'Little Saint Nick' by The Beach Boys & 'Stop the Cavalry' by Jona Lewie - chosen by Aimée (her and her pregnant belly left early without stepping foot on the bowling alley, but she managed to win the game - see above ☺️)
'Fly Me to the Moon' by Frank Sinatra & 'Careless Whisper' by George Michael - chosen by Anna (who was really impressed with her performance - her fringe jacket and pink velvet outfit was epic)
'Stay Another Day' by East 17 & 'White Christmas' by Otis Redding - chosen by Rea (she was showing us some slick moves with strong enthusiasm 😎)
'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' by Andrea Bocelli & 'All I Want for Christmas is You" by Mariah Carey - chosen by Elisa (surprise surprise, she was a better player than she expected)
'River' by Hurray for the Riff Raff & 'Baby it's Cold Outside' by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Jordan - chosen by Agostina (who will refrain from bowling ever again - hint: not her sport at all)
'Last Christmas' by Wham! & 'Do They Know it's Christmas?' by Band Aid - chosen by Nicky (who had some hidden bowling skills she was not even aware of - watch this space!)
'Driving Home for Christmas' by Chris Rea & 'Carol of the Bells' by Mykola Dmytrovych Leontovych - chosen by Sophie (our one and only bowling pro)
'Mistletoe' by Justin Bieber - chosen by Rachel (who celebrated every pin knocked down in the most professional manner only an actress can pull off)
'2000 Miles' by Pretenders - chosen by Roanne (she slowly and steadily managed to have a killer total score)
'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)' by Darlene Love & 'Stille Nacht' by Jehan Revert - chosen by Sharlene (who tried her best and as always, did it with aplomb and big fat smile)
'Walking in the Air' by Peter Auty & 'Merry Xmas Everybody" by Slade - chosen by Johnny (who proved to have some unconventional bowling moves including some goal scoring slides à la Gareth Bale)
'The Nutcracker - Waltz of the Flowers' by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky & 'Happy New Year' by ABBA - chosen by Darja (who took it nice and easy with her baby bump and managed a super strike)
So we'll sign off for the time being. See you again in January. We hope you have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year. Remember to hug your loved ones and keep them close!

]]>The beauty of layering a locket close to your heart is the secret you can hide within it. The wearer can hold a tiny keepsake inside the pendant, safe in the knowledge it’s theirs to share with others or keep as a private memento.
Here at Laura Lee Jewellery, we’ve made many lockets over the years and we’re regularly asked whether we will stock them again. So due to popular demand, we’ve decided to bring them back. As unique keepsakes that are special to you or a loved one, they’ll form part of our ‘Personal’ collection.
Launching today we’ll stock three different hinged lockets. They come in solid 9ct yellow gold and sterling silver, all suspended from a sparkling, solid gold chain. They’re also available in two round sizes and one oval size. As with everything here at Laura Lee Jewellery, they work well layered with other delicate styles or they're just as happy to be worn solo.
We’ve left them blank for you to customise if you desire. We can inscribe a monogram or date to mark an important occasion such as a wedding or birthday…We can even add the coordinates of an important place in your story. With hand engraving available in any font you wish, the possibilities for personalisation are plenty.
